Wave-Master Systems offer incentives for KickStarter campaign support
Wave-Master Wave Pool
Bournemouth 19 September 2014
New wave pool technology firm Wave-Master is offering members of the public exclusive rewards for a limited time in return for support with their KickStarter campaign, which aims to raise enough project backing to obtain international patent protection of this innovative technology. The deadline is Friday, 10th October 2014.
By contributing as little as £20 to the online crowd-funding campaign, individuals will be rewarded with incentives such as vouchers for a free day at the Wave-Master Wave Park of their choice and more.
Wave-Master aims to revolutionise the UK surfing industry by generating the perfect wave in any location. Currently, many of the UK's 500,000 active surfers - who spend around £1.8 billion per year on their sport - choose to surf overseas due to better quality, more consistent waves than they can find in the UK. However, the new Wave-Master system - pioneered by physicist, engineer and surfer John Baxendale - is able to generate top quality, consistent waves at double the rate of other wave pool systems currently in existence. Energy efficient in its design, this new system is also suitable for use in a wide range of pool styles, sizes and shapes.
The Wave-Master system is now going through a KickStarter crowdfunding campaign in a bid to raise the £5,000 target needed to patent its design in the UK, the USA and Australia. Via the KickStarter website, both individuals and businesses can pledge a sum of money towards funding the Wave-Master project, with the pledge only collected if the campaign reaches its overall funding target.
Should the funding target be reached, those pledging certain sums will receive rewards from Wave-Master once the technology becomes a reality. Those who provide £20 of funding or more will receive a voucher for a free one day admission pass to a Wave-Master Wave Park of their choice when opened to the public, while those supporters who contribute £500 or more will not only receive a free one day admission pass to the Wave Park of their choice when opened, but will also receive two invitations to the grand opening celebration of a new Wave-Master Wave Park of their choice.
Says John Baxendale, company spokesperson for the Wave-Master Systems KickStarter Campaign, "We are excited to be giving members of the public the opportunity to become involved in the development of this exciting new Wave-Master technology and be one of the first to ride our super-smooth glassy waves."
